Dr. Freddi Gold (her doctorate is in Human Behavior) has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and another in Theatre Arts & Speech).  She is a member of the High Desert Branch of the California Writers Club.

 

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Life & Wellness Coach, Freddi also has taught for over 20 years at Victor Valley College and Chaffey College in the Communication Studies Department. She teaches classes in Family Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication and Public Speaking.

 

She previously has hosted her own radio and television shows here in the High Desert, interviewing notables in the areas of medicine, psychology and other areas of public interest. Born in New York, raised in Puerto Rico she is most at home in the West. She is married, has two adult children, three grandchildren, 3 dogs, a cat and two wild ravens.

   

She is the author of the forthcoming book: Adultery is Universal; But I'm Getting Married Anyway; What to Know Before You Do or Already Have.

"How to Build Your Own Web Site" presented by Bob Isbill

Bob isbill is a retired labor representative and officer of Teamsters Local 166, and a graduate of the Teamster’s Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C.   He holds a B.A. in Counseling Psychology/Economics from Chapman University.  Bob is a former mediator for the San Bernardino County Courts, and has been a state and national arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau since 1997.

 

As Publicity Chairman for the High Desert Branch, Bob volunteered a little over a year ago to be webmaster for the HD CWC.  He readily admits he literally did not know what he was doing.  However, he stumbled across a web builder that he claims is quick and easy to build and maintain which he uses to host this site, and he shared that information on June 26, 2010. 

 

No recommendation to use or not use any software or specific web builder whaisoever is given, nor should it be implied.  The material presented is for information only!

Julia Julia Amante

Julia Amante, women's fiction author, grew up the daughter of Argentine immigrants.  She lives in California.

Julia writes emotionally rich stories about family love, and the passion of chasing and achieving life's goals.

Julia is a proud mother and wife, a teacher, and a lover of life and it's many gifts.  Following her passion to detail life in writing as well as share the joys of writing with other aspiring writers, Julia is currently pursuing an MFA. 

 

Julia has presented workshops at the Latino Book and Family Festival, the Mexican-American Organization Foundation, the Latina Business Women Organization, as well as in colleges such as the University of California, Riverside, Cal. State Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara City College.

Members and guests were treated to an excellent presentation by the past president of the Inland Branch of the California Writers Club
 
Kay Murphy teaches English and Journalism at Upland High School.  She is a freelance writer and the author of Tainted Legacy, a memoir about her great-grandmother who is alleged to be America's first female serial killer.

Dwight Norris, author of "The Gentleman Host"

Norris said, “I’ve been a writer almost all my life.  I wrote my first poem at 17, continued writing poetry through my 20s.  I decided to get serious about writing 3½ years ago, and took a course in novel writing and one in short stories.  I’ve written two screenplays, about a dozen short stories, and am working on my second novel.”  He lives in Apple Valley.
